The Sunshine 5k marathon (waddle. walk. run.) is an annual family fun run for fallen Officer Besser. Todd was a 16 year veteran of the Elk River Police Department, school liaison for ISD728 (Elk River Schools), 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force, father and husband.  His life and his oldest son's lives were tragically taken in a domestic situation by his youngest son on May 9, 2015, leaving his family, friends and community devastated. 

All proceeds benefit Backing the Blue Line (a non-profit, Minnesota police wives group that supports law enforcement families in need) and college scholarships in honor of Officer Besser. To learn more, visit their website.
